Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using DistributionOS ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
2. Description of Service
DistributionOS is a beta distribution and marketing context platform for indie app builders. The Service may help generate, track, and optimize marketing artifacts, SEO briefs, analytics context, image assets, and agent-facing API/MCP workflows. Available features may vary while the product is in beta.
3. Account Registration and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We support sign-in via email/password, Google OAuth, and GitHub OAuth.
4. Subscription and Billing
The Service operates on a subscription basis with plan prices, per-app billing, and usage caps shown at checkout. Payment processing is handled by Polar. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Upon cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.
5. User Content and Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you provide to the Service (app descriptions, Brain Doc inputs, competitor URLs, etc.) and all content generated by the Service on your behalf. You grant DistributionOS a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
6. AI-Generated Content
Content and briefs generated by DistributionOS are created using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy and quality, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate material. You are solely responsible for reviewing all content, agent-created drafts, and image assets before they are published to your accounts. DistributionOS is not liable for any consequences arising from published content.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate or distribute spam, misinformation, or deceptive content
- Violate the terms of service of connected platforms (Instagram, GitHub, Google)
- Infringe on third-party intellectual property rights
- Engage in any illegal activity
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
Anonymous campaign redirects may not be used for phishing, malware, impersonation, spam, credential collection, evading platform enforcement, or links to private or internal network resources. DistributionOS may block a link or hostname when automated safeguards or an abuse report indicates risk.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Instagram (Meta), GitHub, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics. Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms of service. DistributionOS is not responsible for the availability, policies, or actions of third-party services.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, is the property of DistributionOS and is protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DistributionOS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. DistributionOS is not liable for account suspensions or restrictions imposed by third-party platforms as a result of content published through the Service.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days. After 30 days, all data including generated content, Brain Docs, analytics, and connected account tokens are permanently deleted.
12. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Vancouver, British Columbia.
