Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Distribution OS ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Distribution OS is an autonomous marketing and distribution platform that generates, publishes, and optimizes content across social media, SEO blog posts, and email campaigns on behalf of its users. The Service uses artificial intelligence to create content and make strategic recommendations.

3. Account Registration and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We support sign-in via email/password, Google OAuth, and GitHub OAuth.

4. Subscription and Billing

The Service operates on a subscription basis with three tiers: Basic, Pro, and Agency. Payment processing is handled by Polar. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Upon cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

5. User Content and Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you provide to the Service (app descriptions, Brain Doc inputs, competitor URLs, etc.) and all content generated by the Service on your behalf. You grant Distribution OS a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by Distribution OS is created using artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude). While we strive for accuracy and quality, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate material. You are solely responsible for reviewing all content before it is published to your accounts. Distribution OS is not liable for any consequences arising from published content.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate or distribute spam, misinformation, or deceptive content
  • Violate the terms of service of connected platforms (Instagram, GitHub, Google)
  • Infringe on third-party intellectual property rights
  • Engage in any illegal activity
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Instagram (Meta), GitHub, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics. Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms of service. Distribution OS is not responsible for the availability, policies, or actions of third-party services.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, is the property of Distribution OS and is protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Distribution OS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. Distribution OS is not liable for account suspensions or restrictions imposed by third-party platforms as a result of content published through the Service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days. After 30 days, all data including generated content, Brain Docs, analytics, and connected account tokens are permanently deleted.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Vancouver, British Columbia.
